Women in Tourism Glasgow Event Speakers: Ross Pollock
Looking ahead to our Women in Tourism Networking Event on 11 September in Glasgow, we’re delighted to showcase the inspiring industry speakers who’ll be taking part in our discussion panel. We look forward to hearing from Ross Pollock, Manager, Tennents Training Academy and Visitor Centre, Wellpark Brewery, Glasgow.
After graduating with a Master’s Degree in Tourism from the University of Strathclyde, Ross embarked on a career in the hospitality industry before gaining valuable experience within social enterprises and the public sector.
Ross has project-managed some of the largest major public events in Glasgow in the last five years, before taking up his current role as Manager of the Tennent’s Visitor Centre and Training Academy, leading one of Glasgow’s newest and fastest growing visitor attractions.
Ross also currently chairs Glasgow’s Leading Attractions (GLA), an industry group of 18 organisations, formed in 2001 with the vision to bring together and promote the best attractions in the city to both locals and visitors.
Ross Pollock is part of the industry panel who will be discussing the theme, “Recruitment & Skills: How to encourage talent to the industry, create good outcomes & career paths” at the Women in Tourism networking event on 11 September in Glasgow.
Tickets are available for non-members, WIT members and students.
