Traveltech for Scotland
Traveltech for Scotland is a three year project, jointly funded by Scottish Enterprise and the European Structural and Investment Fund (ESIF) to support the growth of traveltech SME’s, create jobs and drive innovation in travel technology.
The cluster also collaborates regularly with the tourism and hospitality industry to help drive digital adoption, data-driven strategies and ensure that the Scottish tourism sector is fully aware of the technological innovations available to help businesses in their recovery from Covid-19.
Traveltech Directory
The Traveltech Directory is both a marketplace for businesses and a valuable resource for tourism and hospitality SME’s, currently listing over 120 businesses and over 50 case studies. If you’re looking for a particular tech solution such as contactless food and drink ordering, ticketing or booking platforms, channel management, immersive technology, 360 video or more, check out the directory for information. The business case studies provide practical examples of how tourism businesses have implemented the technology and what impact this has had on their business.
NextChain: New Technology for Chefs, Professional Kitchens & Suppliers
A recent addition to the Traveltech directory is NextChain, a free online ordering platform for professional kitchens and food suppliers. The mobile app enables chefs to place orders instantly and communicate with all their suppliers in one place. For suppliers, the web app makes it easier to process orders, manage catalogues and customer relationships. The NextChain B2B platform is open to all businesses in the food and hospitality industry. Food producers, farmers, distributors and wholesalers. On the buying side, food retailers and professional kitchens (restaurants, bars and cafes).
