Celebrating Women Leaders in Tourism, Hospitality and Events
The team at Women in Tourism is delighted to once again support Business Women Scotland Women in Tourism and Hospitality Awards 2018, the awards ceremony taking place on Thursday 17 May 2018.
Lesley Judge of Smart Tourism and Women in Tourism Communications Group Lead, says, “We are thrilled that WIT is supporting this important event again, celebrating inspiring women tourism leaders within our sector and highlighting important role models in order to attract and enthuse more talent to join the industry.”
Representatives from Women in Tourism will be joining the industry for the second year of the BWS Women in Hospitality & Tourism Awards, which recognise and celebrate women in the tourism and hospitality industry in Scotland. There are 11 Award Categories – check out the awards shortlist.
The black tie awards ceremony and dinner takes place on the evening of Thursday 17 May 2018 at The Grand Central Hotel, Glasgow, with guest speakers Anne Mulhern of The Willow Tea Rooms, Glasgow, and Dale MacPhee, GM of the Waldorf Astoria, Edinburgh.
Master of Ceremonies, journalist and broadcaster Rachel McTavish will ensure all runs smoothly for the evening, and guests can look forward to entertainment from Hannah Rarity, winner of BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the Year 2018.
David Cochrane, Chairman of HIT Scotland, will present the award for this year’s HIT Scholarship, offering the winner an amazing opportunity to further their career, whatever the area of expertise.
