Be Bold for Change: Join Women in Tourism on IWD 2017
Join Women in Tourism at our networking event on Wednesday 8 March 2017, International Women’s Day.
We want to #BeBoldForChange and we’ll be explaining how you can join us in developing Women in Tourism.
There are lots of ways you can participate and show your support for this year’s #BeBoldforChange campaign.
The founding principles of WIT are to inspire, motivate, encourage and support women across the sector; while advocating for greater gender balance across leadership roles within industry.
The #BeBoldForChange campaign offers several areas to take action in, one of which is to pledge to Forge Women’s Advancement.
#BeBoldForChange and …
- decide to buy from companies that support women
- choose to work for a progressive employer for women
- support or back a woman-owned business
- take a junior female colleague to a major meeting or event
- build conducive, flexible work environments
- appoint a woman to the board
- mentor a woman and sponsor her goals
- invite women into situations where they’re not already present or contributing
- measure and report on gender parity gaps and keep gender on the agenda
- create new opportunities for women
