Work in tourism, hospitality or events? Share your thoughts on equality in the workplace. Focus group: Friday 15 June, Edinburgh Napier University, 12pm-2.30pm
Women in Tourism are delighted to share this opportunity to participate in research being conducted by Dr Menna Jones and Dr Maria Gebbels from the Marketing, Events and Tourism Department at the University of Greenwich.
Dr Jones and Gebbels’ academic team are carrying out research to understand how women regard opportunities to develop on to executive level posts in the industry. A second focus group is planned for Edinburgh Napier University, Friday 15 June from 12-2.30pm.
If you are interested in sharing your thoughts on equality in the workplace, please find details below.
More information:
- A focus group will be held on Friday 15 June, 12.00pm – 2.30pm Edinburgh Napier University.
- It doesn’t matter what type of organisation you work for within tourism, the research team would be interested in hearing your thoughts.
- The researchers also want to hear from men – how they perceive opportunities available to women in their workplace is also relevant.
- Involvement in a focus group would give the research team an opportunity to understand your thoughts on skills required for leadership roles, and how support could be made available that would be recognised in the industry.
- Food and drink will be provided at the event and travel will be re-imbursed to the value of £10.00.
